Rocky Mountain Star Stare is an annual premiere star party sponsored by the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society. Located on 35 acres of land, RMSS's "Starry Meadows" is conveniently located just over two hours southwest of Colorado Springs (outside of Gardner, CO), between the Sangre de Cristo and Wet mountain ranges, at an altitude of 7,600 feet above sea level. Amenities

We have space for your tent, camper, trailer, or RV. There are portable toilets available for the comfort of our guests. If you prefer, hotels and RV sites are available in nearby Walsenburg and Westcliffe.

The “Town Hall” building houses a vendor area, check-in/registration, and the presentation center for speakers and workshops.

Fees

Normal registration is $75 for adults and $35 for children when you register online by April 15, 2024. After that, on-site registration is $100 for adults and $40 for children.

Children 12 and younger are FREE, when accompanied by parent.

RMSS is held on a 35-acre, extreme dark-sky location we call "Starry Meadows". It is about 2 hours southwest from downtown Colorado Springs.
